Betty Robie Harrison Spurling, age 82, of Ducktown, TN passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Spurling was born in Blue Ridge, GA on June 26, 1937. She retired for ADH Sewing Plant and was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. Her hobbies included sewing, yard sales, and outside work. She was preceded in death by her first husband and the love of her life, Junior Daniel "Preacher" Harrison who passed away in 1988; her second husband, Carl Spurling; a daughter, Kathy Culberson; a great grandchild, Dallas Lynn Cook; as well as her parents, Robert N. Rhodes and Florence Richard Rhodes, and her seven siblings. Betty is survived by a daughter, Connie Cook of Ducktown, TN; five grandchildren, Tim Cook, Jesse Cook, Justin Cook, Cody Clark, and Korey Clark; 5 great grandchildren, Lacey Barnes, Landon Cook, Kyliegh Cook, Cage Cook, and Kreidynce Cook; a special niece, Tina Dilbeck and her husband Matt Dilbeck; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from Mt. Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Timmie Joe Hemming and Rev. Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Music will be by the Mt. Harmony Church Choir. Pallbearers will be Tim Cook, Jesse Cook, Justin Cook, Cody Clark, Korey Clark, and Matt Dilbeck. Interment will follow in the Mt. Harmony Church Cemetery.
