Betty Jean Roper age 75 of Chatsworth, formerly of Morganton, GA, passed away Monday February 2, 2015.She enjoyed sewing, gardening and was a member of Morganton Baptist Church.Mrs. Roper was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Max Roper; parents, Fred and Mary Elsie Stanley; brothers, Dennis and Victor Stanley.Survivors include, sons, Leonard Roper, Ellijay, Jerry Roper, Morganton, Everett Roper, Chatsworth, David Roper Morganton, Charles Roper, Blairsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Don Wright, Morganton, GA, Glenda and Kym Rice, Chatsworth; sister, Ruth Chambers, GA; sister-in-law, Geneva Stanley, Morganton, GA; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins.Funeral services to celebrate the life of Betty Jean Roper will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Blue Ridge, GA.The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Peeples Funeral Home.Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of arrangements for Betty Jean Roper. .
