Betty Ann Burnette Queen, age 75, of McCaysville, GA passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2011 in the Erlanger Medical Center. Betty was born in Fannin County, GA to the late Maynard and Susan Rebecca McCollough Burnette. She had worked in local restaurants and also did volunteer work with various organizations in the area. She was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church. Her hobbies included reading and working crossword puzzles.She is survived by sons, Shannon (Reathel) Queen of McCaysville, GA, Stephen Queen of Crystal Lake, IL; daughter, Susan Foley of Kennesaw, GA; brothers, Maynard Nelson Burnette of Flat Rock, MI, Charles Lee Burnette of Antioch, TN, Samuel Michael Burnette of Copperhill, TN; four grandchildren, Calvin Kendall, Rodney Kendall, Alan Foley and Thomas Foley; three great grandchildren, Casey Starke, Kelsey Kendall and Kourtney Kendall. Many other relatives and friends.Mrs. Queen was cremated and a memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, December 31st at 11:00 a.m. from the River of Life Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Queen and Rev. Jessie Sisson officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church cemetery.
