Betty Ruth McFarland, age 89, of Copperhill passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Betty was born in Copperhill on July 29, 1936 to the late Horace Prince and Cleo Hampton Prince. She was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed spending time in her garden caring for her plants and flowers. She was a true people person that spent time talking to everyone she came in contact with. Betty's greatest joy was the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Floyd McFarland; second husband, Julian "Marshall" Wilson; and siblings, Dorothy Adams, Lloyd Prince, Hoyt Prince, Clinton Prince, Ruby Cannon, Junior Prince, Geneva Hughes, Huey Prince, Susan Milan, Bobby Prince, and Johnny Prince.

Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Marion and Lisa McFarland of Copperhill; grandchildren and their spouses, Alicia and Caleb Baugh of Mineral Bluff, and Joshua and Gracie McFarland of Mineral Bluff; great-grandchildren, Gracelyn Baugh, Caroline Baugh, and Jase McFarland; and sister, Shirley Flores of Fort Worth, TX.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Randy Hooper and Rev. Brent Carter officiating. Music was provided by the Caylor Family and Ralph Grice. Interment followed in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Copperhill. Pallbearers were Richard Deaver, Gary Cochran, Davin Prince, Scott Rogers, Tim Verner, and James Hyatt. Honorary pallbearers were Kevin Carter and Kacey Carter. The family visited with friends at the Akins-Cobb of Copperhill on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 12:00PM until 2:00PM.
