Betty G. Johnson, age 80, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Fannin Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Johnson was born on July, 26, 1936 in Cherokee County, GA to the late Homer David Worley and Theodosia Missouri Ellis Worley. She sought and found God's saving grace when she was 13 years old at New Home Baptist Church in Woodstock, GA and later in life became a member of Mineral Bluff Baptist Church. She was a bus driver for Cobb County School System, MARTA, and various other transportation lines in her lifetime. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Millard Henry Johnson; brothers, Warner Roy Worley and Troy Ray Worley; and a sister, Cleo A. Worley.She is survived by her sons, Eddie (Teresa) Johnson, Ricky (Debbie) Johnson, and Mike (Sharon) Johnson; daughters, Debra Thigpen, Shyrl (Mickeal) Bailey, and Debi Johnson; 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.Funeral Services were conducted on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Hughes and Rev. Vernie Worley officiating. Interment followed at Copper Ridge Memory Gardens with grandchildren serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Rick Johnson, Trent Babb, Anthony Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Cody Babb, Joshua McDaniel, Jimmy Worley, Michael Babb and Thomas Schwartzwalter.
