Betty Jean (Arp) Hensley, age 73, of Ducktown, TN, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2008 at Copper Basin Medical Center in Ducktown, TN. She was a native and lifelong resident of the Copper Basin, daughter of the late Alvin W. and Maudelee Elrod Arp. She was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church.She is survived by her husband Kenneth "Kitty-Bo" Hensley of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Stoney Standridge of Ducktown, TN: two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth L."Buddy" and Debbie Hensley of Turtletown, TN, and Joseph C. and Phyllis Hensley of Ducktown, TN; three sisters, Mildred Postell of Mineral Bluff, GA, Louise Caylor of Woodstock, GA, and Linda Bandy of Copperhill, TN; two brothers, Ernest Arp of Cartersville, GA, and Max Arp of Ducktown, TN; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one step-grandson. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, August 13, at 1:00 PM from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Timmy Joe Hemming and Rev. Gerald Payne officiating. Music was by The Caylor Family. Pallbearers were Jerry Bandy, Greg Arp, Tim Arp, Danny Joe Smith, A.E. Loudermilk, Ronnie Hensley, Dwight Dilbeck, and Ronnie Dillard. Interment followed in the Zion Hill Cemetery.
