Mrs. Betty Jean Gilliam, age 82, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on June 13, 2012. Born in Gary West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Alonzo Hiram Davison and Violet Beatrice Colley Davison. She had worked for many years as a Beautician. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Wanda Kyle and Debbie Griffin McClure. Survivors include two sisters, Edna Bowman of Pearl River, LA and Carolyn Brackett of McCaysville, GA; grandchildren, April Womack, Melissa Kennedy and Scott Kyle; 3 great grandchildren, Olivia Whitlow, Kelly Ledford, and Jamie Painter; one great great grandchild, Madyson Ledford; nephew, Jeff (Andrea) Patterson; and great nephews, Jarrod Patterson, and Todd Patterson. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday June 15, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in the Chapman Family Cemetery.
