The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the graveside services for Mrs. Bernice Walkey, age 74, of Turtletown, TN who passed away on Monday September 1, 2008 in Dalton, GA surrounded by her family. She was born in Cherokee County, NC to the late Rev. Joseph and Ella Gibson Morrow. She had worked for Shaw Industries in the testing department. Survivors include her husband, Charles "Tom" Walkey of Turtletown, TN; sons and daughter-in-laws, Dennis and Elizabeth Walkey of Dalton, GA and Randal and Patricia Walkey of Varnell, GA; daughters, Evonne and Husband Dale Bilbrey of Cleveland, TN, Brenda Walkey of Dawnville, GA and Marcy Banks of Dalton, GA; brothers, Fred Morrow of Tunnel Hill, GA and Paul Morrow of Dalton, GA; sisters, Florence Hensley of Cleveland, TN and Betty Plott of Tunnel Hill, GA; grandchildren, Richard Walker, Jason Rickell, Alicia Marie and Dale Jr. Bilbrey, Miranda Jones and husband, Marcus, and Jonathan Banks; great grandchildren, Myra Jones, Christian Jones; best friends, Allen, Steve and Linda Cantrell all of Dalton, GA and Mildred Taylor of Turtletown, TN.Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday September 4, at 2:00 p.m. from the Walkey family cemetery on Morrow Rd. Turtletown, TN, with Rev. James Boyd and Rev. Ed Pippens officiating. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Ab Taylor, Allen Cantrell, Steve Cantrell, Dale Bilbrey, Dennis Walkey and Randal Walkey.
