Bernice Elaine Smith Stroud, daughter of Homer Oliver and Ruby Heaton Smith, widow of Daniel Lester Stroud, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Pruitt Healthcare in Blue Ridge, GA. Mrs. Stroud is survived by two adopted children, Peggy Stroud and Danny Stroud, address unknown; two brothers, Homer Earl Smith of Charlotte, NC and William Glenn Smith of North English, IA. Mrs. Stroud was raised in Conway and Myrtle Beach, SC and lived most of her adult life in Aynor, SC. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon). A private burial will be at Cedar Creek (Stroud) Cemetery, Nichols, Marion County, SC on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
