Mrs. Bennie Lee Wright, age 84 of Epworth, GA passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016, at her daughters home in Jasper. She was born on Tuesday, November 3, 1931 in Ellijay, GA to the late Horace and Stella M. Davenport Parks. Mrs. Wright was a devout homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Wright was a member of Colwell Baptist Church and worked in various activities for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph W. Wright; great granddaughter, Vivian Elyse Miller; brother, Jack Parks; sisters, Catherine Skates, JoAnn Abercrombie and Glenda Queen; son-in-law, Rev. Doug Williamson. Survivors are daughters, Linda W. Foster of Jasper, GA, Judy W. Graham (Thomas) of Epworth, GA, Jane W. Callihan (Morris) of Epworth, GA, Martha W. Chastain (John) of Epworth, GA, Brenda W. Adams (James) of Jasper, GA and Patricia W. Hensley (Ronald) of Turtletown, TN; brother, J.D. Parks of Covington, GA; sisters, Oleeta Hughes of Old Fort, TN, Alene Whitaker of Chatsworth, GA and Joyce Anderson of Ellijay, GA; eleven grandchildren, Barry Williamson, Cynthia Miller (Dan), Lorie Watkins, Lisa Graham, Scott Graham (Courtney), Cory Callihan (Ginny), Wesley Chastain (Robin), Ryan Chastain, Zachary Adams, Sarah Adams and Joseph Adams; ten great-grandchildren, Jackson Miller, Greyson Miller, Nathan Watkins, Nadalie Watkins, Brody Graham, Sawyer Graham, Carson Callihan, Maddox Callihan, Evan Chastain and Jacob Chastain; an anticipated great-grand baby Callihan; a host of other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Colwell Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Turner and Rev. Nathan Chancey officiating. Music was by Nancy Watkins and Tim Nicholson. Interment followed in the Colwell Church Cemetery with Rev. Joe Dan Wilkins officiating. The following grandsons served as pallbearers: Barry Williamson, Scott Graham, Cory Callihan, Wesley Chastain, Ryan Chastain, Zachary Adams and Joseph Adams. Honorary pallbearers were sons-in-law, Thomas Graham, Morris Callihan, John Chastain, James Adams, Ronald Hensley and the men of Colwell Baptist Church.
