Mrs. Barbara Ann Dunn Mullis, age 79, of McCaysville, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in Cartersville, GA. She was born on February 9, 1942, in McCaysville, to the late Rev. James Charlie Dunn and Bertha Mae Huffman Dunn. Barbara was a long-time member of Mt. Liberty Baptist Church. She worked for many years as a filing clerk for Continental Insurance and enjoyed doing yard work. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Thomas Mullis; brother, Gene J. Dunn; and brother-in-law, Jim Thomas. Barbara is survived by her son, Sean Thomas Mullis; brothers and sisters-in-law, James C. "Buzz" and Peggy Dunn of Greenville, GA and Bill and Tina Dunn of Appling, GA; sister, Martha Ann Thomas of Douglasville, GA; and her feline companion, Spot. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joey Phillips officiating.
