Barbara Ann Loudermilk, age 84, of Turtletown, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at her home. She was born on November 16, 1939 to the late Edward Allen and Nell Owenby Allen. Barbara was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She owned and operated her beauty shop for many years. Later, she worked for Dollar General. She also worked for many years making quilts. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Loudermilk; and siblings, Bill Allen, Manker Allen, and Catherine Padgett.

Barbara was survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Karen Loudermilk; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Kenny White and Karen and Larry Allen; siblings, Silas Allen, Gaynell Helton, Daniel Allen, Phillip Allen, and Deborah Cordell; grandchildren, Amanda Jenkins, Tyler Allen, Logan Allen, Bryson Allen, Alison Arp, Joe Loudermilk, Kayleigh Loudermilk, and Kayden Loudermilk; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Copperhill Chapel with Chaplain Adam Jones officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Loudermilk, Tyler Allen, Logan Allen, Bryson Allen, Adam Ferguson, and Kayden Loudermilk. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
