Mrs. Barbara Ann Geisler Stuart, age 87, of Jonesboro, GA passed away on October 6, 2023 at her home following an extended illness. Born in Isabella, TN, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick Alfred and Esther Elizabeth Goforth Geisler. She was married to the late Tom B. Stuart, who was originally from McCaysville, GA for 47 years. She moved to the Atlanta Area in 1957 and later moved to Hapeville, GA from 1960 until 2017. She had worked for a number of years as the office manager for her husband who was an agent with State Farm Insurance Company. She was the oldest and last living of her siblings which included, Jerry Geisler, Gary Geilser, Robert Geisler, Kenneth Geisler, Brenda Winfrey and Glenda Cronan.

Her compassion had no limits even to strangers, always making sure everyone was alright even when she was a ball of anxiety her self. The generosity and love she had for others was always at a maximum, to family, friends, and those who were less fortunate. She always had a love for animals, picking up strays and took comfort in taking care of them. Her hospitality was sincere and boundless, not only was she a beautiful woman on the outside, her heart and soul was too. She was always incredibly positive and strong! Her faith was one of her pillars of who she was; speaking softly,calmly and was always a polite southern bell. She often set the example of how to be an adolescent and as an adult. Barbara was a skin cancer survivor, an avid gardner and the rock to many!

Survivors include her two children and their spouses, Tommy and Becky Stuart of Jonesboro, GA and Ann and Mudh Al-Mudhi of Kuwait; grandchildren, Brett (Amanda) Stuart, Katie Stuart, Nina (Adam) James, Abraham (Kelsey) Al-Mudhi, Noelle Al-Mudhi, Amira Al-Mudhi, Sarah Al-Mudhi and Ahmed Al-Mudhi; great grandchildren, Cooper Stuart, Crosby Stuart, Brady James and Isaac Al-Mudhi; nieces, Cindy Whitmore and Melissa Cronan and their family; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Chuck Bray officiating. Music will be provided by Ashton Bray. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinscobb.com.
