Barbara Ann Ware Allen, age 76, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. She was born on January 16, 1947, in Union County, to the late Clinton Patterson and Opal Rogers Patterson. Barbara was of the Baptist faith and worked as a seamstress for Levi Strauss & Co. for many years.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Edith White, Adith Everett, J.C. Patterson, Otis Patterson, A.D. Patterson, Fannie Mae Sanford, J.W. Patterson, Dossie Patterson, Ted Patterson, Avery Patterson, and Deborah Patterson.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Leon Allen; and siblings, Wanda Cole, Frank Patterson, Maudell Sutherland, and Lecia Lamb.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Sammy Ledford officiating. Music will be provided by Seth Stanley. Interment will follow in the Hemptown Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Rodney Garrison, Jason Campbell, Charles Mull, Mark Patterson, Shane Ware, and Seth Stanley. Selected to serve as honorary pallbearers are Jerry Cole and Salvatore Biscardi. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
