The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Mrs. Audrey Louise Hyde, age 89, of Copperhill, who passed away Wednesday, December 26. Audrey was born in the Postelle community of Polk County and was a daughter of the late Robert & Louisa Miller Byrd and was a member of the Mt. Zion "Tumbling Creek" Baptist Church. She was retired from the Textile Industry where she worked as a seamstress. She is survived by two sons, Windom Hyde and Robert Hyde, both of Copperhill, TN; one daughter, Iva Lou Lock of Ellijay, GA; one brother, Owen Byrd of Hayesville, NC; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 29 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Deal officiating. Music will be by the Deal family. Pallbearers include David, Tommy, Kevin, Steve, Larry and Josh Allen. Interment will follow in the Grassy Creek cemetery.
