Ashley Danielle Segay, age 23, of McCaysville, GA passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Ashley was born on November 27, 2002, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Timothy Segay and Cassie Cheatham. She had a creative artistic spirit, which led to her becoming a tattoo artist. Ashley enjoyed being outdoors and hiking. She had a passion for geology and minerals. Ashley loved spending time with her friends, and was known for her compassionate heart to give to others.

Ashley is preceded in death by her grandparents, Stanley Segay and Dougie Blair, and Kenneth and Lois Cheatham; uncles, Olsen Segay and Stephen Eubanks; aunt, Emily Segay; and great-aunt and great-uncle, Keith and Sherri Cheatham.

She is survived by her mother, Cassie Cheatham; father, Timothy Segay; sixteen brothers and sisters; paternal grandmother, Rosie Segay; maternal grandmother, Connie Cabrera; aunt, Mary Willhemina; uncle, Gary Segay; cousins, Amanda Cheatham,Kimberly Wilson Keisha Cheatham, Bryan Cheatham, Eddie Cheatham, and Tyler Gibson; great-aunts, Kathy Cheatham, Donna Kay Cheatham, and Elaine Mashburn; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 26, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Michael Dowlin officiating. Music will be by Janice Reid and Tammy Miller. Interment will follow in the Old Community Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nathan Smith, Russell Locke, Junior Deal, Rodney Wimpy,Joseph Bice, and Hunter Raper. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Hunter and Jeremy Smith. The family will receive friends at the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Copperhill on Thursday, March 26, prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 1:00 p.m.
