Ashley Brooke Postell, age 26, of Robbinsville, NC, formerly of Ellijay, GA, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 in the Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Miss Postell was born on May 30, 1995 in Sylva, NC. She played softball and volleyball at Gilmer County High School. Ashley loved to listen to music and always had a smile on her face and a heart of gold. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eldon Cole, Betty Sellers, and Larry Postell. She is survived by her daughter, Jaylee Phillips of Robbinsville; mother, Karen Cole of Robbinsville; father, Kevin Postell of Robbinsville; grandmother, Deltha Cole of Copperhill; sister, Olivia Jensen Prater of Copperhill; aunts and uncles, Deborah Edwards of FL, Nancy Cole (Shelby Cornwell) of Copperhill, Chris (Julie) Cole of Greenville, TN, David (Jackie) Cole of FL, and Bill Cole of Turtletown; and cousins, Tiffany & Chris Martin, Rachel and Keith Ogles, Michael Truelove, Josh and Kristin Cole, Kallie Cole, Justice Cole Flock, Tristany Stillwell, Kelsey Cole, Brett Cole, Megan Chinn, Kayla and Addie Martin. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Akins Funeral Home with Rev. Brett Curtis officiating. Music was provided by Jessica Jones Taylor.
