Mrs. Arzela Herndon, age 91, of Blue Ridge passed away on November 26, 2010. Born in Cherokee County, NC she was the daughter of the late Corbin and Nora Graham Campbell. She had worked for many years as an Insurance Agent for Coastal States Insurance Company. Mrs. Herndon enjoyed fishing. She was also preceded in death by her husband Arnold Herndon; one son, Jack Herndon; three brothers, Leffel, J.E., Gordon and W.C. Campbell; and one sister, Janice Campbell. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Marie Herndon of Blue Ridge, GA; grandchildren, Bryan Herndon of McCaysville, GA, Michelle Mathis of Blue Ridge, GA, Michael James Herndon of Blue Ridge, GA and Kelly Ann Coyle of Blue Ridge; great grandchild, Michael Logan Coyle; brothers, Ralph Campbell of Blue Ridge, GA Wayne Campbell of Griffin, GA and David Campbell of Kennesaw, GA; one sister, Pearl Wilder of Kennesaw, GA; and many other nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral Services were conducted on Sunday November 28 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Whitener officiating. Music was provided by Brian Huffman. Interment followed in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Bryan Herndon, Charlie Mathis, Gene Davis, Justin Turner, Melvin Turner and Mike Herndon.
