Mr. Arvil Cleaston Burger, age 91 , of Farner, TN was called home to be with his Lord on Sunday, November 13, 2011. Mr. Burger was a lifelong resident of Polk County and enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Joseph and Hattie Coleman Burger, two brothers Marion Burger and Hoyt Burger, sister, Blanche Farner and two granddaughters, Lori and Alicia Burger. He leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Ioma Farner Burger of the home; Son Cleaston (Rose) Burger of Farner, TN; daughter, Barbara (Michael) Norton of Blairsville,GA; three grandchildren, Eric Davis, Kaitlyn Burger and Chandler Burger; two great grandchildren, Constance Huskins and Ethan Huskins; many other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 15th at 2:00 p.m. from the Community Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Payne officiating. Music will be by the Bethel Church Choir, Rev. Doug Payne and Barron Early. Pallbearers include Adam Taylor, Paul Johnson, Greg Evans, B.J. Taylor, Ricky Peak and Brady Evans. Cecil Burger will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
