Obituary

Mr. Archie Hayden Bice, age 80, of Mineral Bluff, Georgia passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 13, 1944 in Copperhill, Tennessee to the late Hayden and Lois Irene Hughes Bice. Archie was of the Baptist faith, and a devoted member of New Liberty Baptist Church. He honorably served his country in the United States Army from June of 1965 to June of 1967.

In the words of Mr. Bice's grandaughter, Lilly: "Archie Hayden Bice was known for his loving heart; no matter where he was, he was always helping someone and fixing something. His love language was acts of service. He was so smart and knew so much about so many things. He loved talking to people and had an outgoing soul. He was always willing to help others, no matter if it was his own brother or a person he had never met. He loved his family and friends with a deeper love than most people will experience. He was a man of the Lord and did what he could everyday to please Him. He now rests with God in Heaven and who knows; he might be helping him fix something up there."

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Bice.

Archie is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Bice of the home; son, David Bice of Mineral Bluff, GA; daughter, Diana (Michael) Odom of Mineral Bluff, GA; siblings, Elaine (Don) Mahan of McCaysville, GA and Patty (Ernest) Pickelsimer of Dawsonville, GA; grandchildren, Lilly Bice, Brittany Odom, and Haley Odom; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
