The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces funeral services for April Kimsey Weaver, age 87, of Turtletown, TN who passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010. Mrs.Weaver was born in Polk County,TN to the late J.Q. and Cora Bryant Kimsey. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She taught school at the Bauchman School in Farner, TN then later at Turtletown Elementary School in Turtletown, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Weaver and brother, Owen Kimsey. She is survived by one son, Arnold and wife, Patsy Weaver of Turtletown, TN; daughters, Annette and husband, Charles Stevens of Blue Ridge, GA, Paula and husband Stacy Rogers of Murphy, NC; one grandchild, Jason Paul Weaver and one great-grandchild, Cassie Amber Weaver. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 27th at 2:00 P.M. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Paul Ray Harper officiating. Music will be by Lena and Jessie Hill. Pallbearers include, Harold Adams, Bob Baliles, Sidney Jory, Daniel Adams, Abe Taylor and Dennis "Bud"Padgett. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill cemetery.
