Mr. Anthony Michael Waldroup, age 22, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009 in the Murphy Medical Center in Murphy, NC. He was born in Cherokee County, NC on June 25, 1987. He worked as a carpenter and enjoyed working on cars in his spare time. He is survived by his loving mate and the mother of his child, Amber Ledford of Woodstock, GA; daughter, Miss Toni Michelle Waldroup of Woodstock; mother and stepdad, Linda and James King of Blue Ridge, GA; father and companion, Ricky Waldroup and Patricia Love of Culberson, NC; brothers, Paul Waldroup of Blue Ridge and Josh Waldroup of Culberson, NC; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Stella Merrell of Mineral Bluff, GA; paternal grandparents, Lester Ray Waldroup and Nancy Sue Waldroup of Culberson; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, July 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Asa Dockery officiating. Music was by Lydia Long. Pallbearers were Michael Merrell, Christopher Merrell, Ken Ledford, Adam Ledford, David King, Charlie Waldroup. Honorary pallbearers were Ray Waldroup, Chris McDaniel, Timmy Merrell, Vickie Short, Alan Scearcy, and Jessie Scearcy. Interment followed in Chastain Memorial Park.
