Anthony "Mitchell" Tankersley, age 37, of Blue Ridge passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at his home. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Suzzanne S. Tankersley of Blue Ridge; children, Jacob Tankersley of Dalton, GA, Carrie Tankersley of Blue Ridge, Braylon Tankersley of Marietta, GA, Hannah Tankersley of Marietta, GA, Jayden Tankersley of McCaysville, and Cheyanne Tankersley of McCaysville; parents, Janie P. Tankersley and J.M. Tankersley of Blue Ridge; brother, Billy Tankersley of Chicago, IL; sisters, Katie Elliott of Eton, GA, Kim Boring of Chatsworth, GA, and Vanessa Gregoire of McCaysville; grandchildren, Madison Tankersley of Dalton; and many other close friends. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Min. Bill Johnston officiating. Music was by Jennifer McDaris. Pallbearers were Matt Godfrey, Aaron Payne, Nathan Tankersley, Jacob Tankersley, Jeff Barnes, and Ethan Elliott. Honorary pallbearers were Nolan Gregoire, Lewis Begley, and Driston Gregoire.
