Mr. Anthony Lee Smith, age 46, of Blue Ridge passed away Thursday, January 10, 2008 at his home. He was a native of Fannin County and a member of Hipps Chapel Church. He was a self-employed concrete finisher. He was survived by his wife, Barbara Smith of Blue Ridge; sons, Kurk Lawrence Smith and his fiance Jessica Hughes and Jesse Lee Smith, both of Blue Ridge; his mother, Doris Smith Ramsey of Mineral Bluff; brothers, Robert Ramsey of Mineral Bluff, GA and Timothy Ramsey of Murphy, NC; sisters, Elizabeth Ramsey and special friend George Greene of Blue Ridge, and Tina Hughes of Blue Ridge; special friends, Steve Bolling, Danny Russell, Randy Beach, Ronnie Stanley, Frog Head, Jeremiah Bolling, Greg Bolling and Kenneth Patton; aunts, uncle, cousins and partner Harry Kyle. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, January 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Music was by the Beach Family. Honorary pallbearers were Steve Bolling, Danny Russell, Randy Beach, Harry Kyle, and Frog Head.
