Anthony Ray Lowery, age 36, of McCaysville, GA passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2022 at his home. Mr. Lowery was born on October 29, 1986 in Riverdale, GA. He worked as landscaper for American Landscaping. He was devoted to and adored his children. He also enjoyed fishing, riding through the mountains (especially in the Tumbling Creek area), mowing, and blowing leaves. Mr. Lowery was preceded in death by his father, Jack Edward Lowery; his sister, Angel Matthews; and his nephews, Christopher Lowery and Gregory Lowery.

He is survived by his wife, Valerie Lowery; children, Hayden Lowery, Bailey Lowery, Lily Harper, Rebecca Harper, and Jada Harper; his mother, Carolyn Allen Lowery; his siblings, James Lowery, Greg (Nellie) Lowery, Stephanie (Rev. Joey) Ensley, and Crystal Saunders; grandchild, Jackson Stamey; nieces and nephews, James Lowery, Jr., Devin Lowery, Matthew Ensley, Parker Saunders, Austin Norton, and Haley Ensley.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Joey Ensley officiating. Music was by Carrie Crawford and Ed Vest. Pallbearers were Greg Lowery, James Lowery, Parker Saunders, Matthew Ensley, Devin Lowery, and Jay Lowery. Honorary pallbearers were Rev. Timmy Ensley, Rev. Scotty Garrett, Andrew Plemmons, and Cody Plemmons. Interment followed in the Majestic Cemetery with Rev. Timmy Ensley and Rev. Scotty Garrett officiating.
