Anthony Dewayne Deal, age 39, of Copperhill passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023. Anthony was born in Fannin County on July 29, 1983 to Jeff and Patricia Deal. He attended Copper Basin High School where he loved playing football, and was nicknamed "Antone" by his teammates. He attended lineman school after high school, and he truly loved his job as a traveling lineman. Anthony was strong-willed and stubborn at times, but he had an enormous heart and sense of humor for his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, IJ and Marie Deal; grandmother, Helen Westmoreland; and special cousin, Brian Waters.

He is survived by parents, Jeff and Patricia Deal of Copperhill; children, Brianna (Brian) Garren of Ducktown, Brian Deal of Copperhill, Aurora Deal, and Aeryauna Deal; grandsons, AJ Garren and Adrian Garren; sister, Stacey (Brandon) Jones of Copperhill; nephew, Trevor (Stefany) Jones of Cleveland, TN; niece, Caitlin (Koby) Shroth of Copperhill; great-nephews, Mason Jones and Lincoln Shroth; great-niece, Reese Jones; grandfather, Winston Westmoreland; and best friends, Brelyn Kreis and Nathan Henderson.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at 2:00 PM from Mountain View Baptist Church with Rev. Patrick O'Dell and Rev. David O'Neal officiating. Music was provided by Kenny O'Neal and Family and Mark and Pam Huff. Interment followed in the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Nathan Henderson, Brelyn Kreis, Drew Earley, Scott Trammell, Isaiah Newman, and Joseph Chapman.
