Ms. Annie Pauline Wood, age 84, of Blue Ridge passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2008 in the Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge. Born in Helen, GA, she was the daughter of the late Doy R. Whitmire and Margaret Lance Whitmire. She was the first manager of the Goody's Store in Blue Ridge and managed the store for 18 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Ms. Wood was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Kincaid and Ronnie Kincaid; and a brother, Fred L. Whitmire. She was survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sherry Kincaid of Blue Ridge; seven grandchildren, Andy Rogers, Michelle Dilworth, Sherry Wilcox, Mike Kincaid, Ronnie Kincaid, Jr., Dana Kincaid, and Stacey Kincaid; 9 great grandchildren; and special friends, Delores Courson, Doralece Tipton, Linda Davis, and Jean Nichols. Graveside services were conducted Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. from Chastain Memorial Park with Rev. Claude Mathis and Rev. Marvin Young officiating. Pallbearers were Mike Kincaid, Shane Kincaid, Justin Kincaid, Irby O'Neal, Carl Davenport, and Larry Kincaid. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Cox and Terry Davenport.
