Annie Ruth Rymer, age 84, of McCaysville, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. She was born in McCaysville, on November 2, 1941, to the late Wade Allen and Ethel Dunn Allen. Annie was a long-time member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Garrett Rymer; son, Roger Rymer; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Agnes Allen, and her parents, Wade and Ethel Allen.

Annie is survived by her children, son, Eugene Rymer and his fiancé, Tina Ledford; son and daughter-in-law, James and Vickey Rymer; and son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Melinda Rymer; grandchildren and their spouses, Miranda and David Stewart, Anthony and Sheena Rymer, Melanie and Justin Hornsby, and Wade and Cassidy Rymer; great-grandchildren, Zeke Hornsby, Eli Hornsby, Brantley Stewart, Roni Rymer, Karmen Rymer, and Ellie Rymer; siblings, Jake Allen, Darlene and Lucas Burk, David and Anita Allen, Calvin Allen, and Harold Allen; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 2:00 PM from Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. John Newton officiating. Music was provided by Jeff Payne and the Kenny O'Neal Family. Interment followed in Patterson Cemetery. Pallbearers were Anthony Rymer, Wade Rymer, Marvin Allen, Zeke Hornsby, David Stewart, and Greg Greene. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
