Mrs. Annie Mae Patterson Galloway Queen, age 104 passed away on February 9, 2018. She was born in Fannin County, GA on July 8, 1913. She was a member of the New River Baptist Church since 1931. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Fred M. Galloway and Talbert Queen; son and daughter-in-law, Charles F. and Patricia (Pat) Galloway; daughter-in-law, Carrie Mae Galloway; son-in-law, Edwin Mitchell; grand daughter, Joan Galloway Harris; parents, Bob and Martha Stepp Patterson; brothers, Virgil, Vernie and Poley Patterson; sisters, Gustie Dilbeck, Myrtle Weeks, Ella Coleman, Mamie Mull and Ethel Young.Survivors include her children, Rev. James R. Galloway of Blue Ridge, GA, Geneva Colwell of Charleston, SC and Frances Mitchell of Kennesaw, GA; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Pope officiating. Interment followed in the Galloway Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Clark Galloway, Fred Galloway, Damon Galloway, Hunter Galloway, Ray Watkins and Neal Galloway.
