Mrs. Anna Lee "Granny" Rhodes, age 84, of Epworth, GA passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008 in the Fannin Regional Hospital. Born in Fannin County, she was the daughter of Andy Dillard and Ora Porter Dillard. She was a member of Macedonia Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude P. Rhodes; sons, A.M. Rhodes, Larry Rhodes, and Gary Rhodes; granddaughter, Angie Rhodes; 6 brothers and 7 sisters. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Vicky Rhodes of Mineral Bluff; daughters and sons-in-law, Midge Cook of Epworth, Janie and Tony Queen of McCaysville, Joyce Patterson of McCaysville, Tammy Dillard of McCaysville, and Pam and Steve Free of Epworth; special daughter, Jackie McPherson of McCaysville; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Min. Butch Jones and Rev. Larry Stover officiating. Music was provided by Rev. Doug Payne and the Caylor Family. Pallbearers were Anthony Rhodes, Jason Rhodes, Buddy Linderman, Shawn Free, Wesley Corn, Mike George, Kurk Smith, and Brian Hughson. Honorary pallbearers were Robbie Corn, Justin Queen, and Shane Ware. Interment followed in Macedonia Church of Christ Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
