Mr. Angus Harold Jason MacDonell, age 37, of Murphy, NC, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014. Angus was born in Andres, NC and had worked with D H R Mechanical as a Commercial Refrigeration Installer. He was a Volunteer Coach at Murphy High School and was of Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Gail Hogsed MacDonell. He is survived by former wife and friend, Amanda Rhodes of Copperhill, TN; daughter, Trinity Temperance Faith MacDonell of Copperhill, TN; his father and stepmother, Marty and Linda MacDonell of Murphy, NC; brothers, Archie Harpell of Canada, Steve (Brandi) Maney of Cumming, GA, Scott MacDonell of Murphy, NC; one sister Amber MacDonell; Best friend, J.L.Dockery of Murphy, NC. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 4th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Scott Cole officiating. Music will be by Hazel Hembree and Wilma Allen. Pallbearers include J.L.Dockery, David Gentry, Eric Steele, Travis Sneed, Scott Dockery and Matt Steele. Honorary pallbearers will be Merbin and Kerbin Garcia. Interment will follow in the Hembree Family cemetery.
