Angela "Denise" Campbell, age 55, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 7, 1967, in Murphy, NC. Mrs. Campbell had worked for over 20 years as a preschool teacher for the Blue Ridge United Methodist Church. She was a faithful servant of the Lord, a devoted wife, and a loving mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her father, Ralph Douglas Kinser.

Denise is survived by her husband of 40 years, Rev. Richard Campbell; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Nathan and Brooke Campbell; daughter and son-in-law, Natashia and Tommy Phillips; mother, Monetta Kinser; grandchildren, Sarah Campbell, Silas Campbell, Alaina Flowers, Alden Phillips, Cambrie Phillips, Madison Phillips, and Cole Phillips; sister, Karen Quinn; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Nathan Campbell and Rev. Ronnie Abernathy officiating. Music was provided by the Tim Nicholson family, Brenda Thomas, and Silas Campbell. Interment followed in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tommy Phillips, Daniel Bolling, Jeremiah Bolling, Gary Long, Larry Long, and Marty Prince. Honorary pallbearers were Kyle Quinn and Dale Jackson.
