Alvin O'Neal, age 85, of McCaysville, GA passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Mr. O'Neal was born in Fannin County to the late Arthur O'Neal and Dora Postelle, and was also preceded in death by his loving wife Juanita Ensley O'Neal. He retired from the Tennessee Copper Company where he had worked as a Fork Lift Operator and was a member of Mt. Liberty Baptist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He is survived by children, Anthony (Doris) O'Neal of Duluth, GA, Russell (Julie) O'Neal of McCaysville, GA, Jan (Raymond) Frady of McCaysville, GA; sister, Teresa Graham of McCaysville, GA; grandchildren, Aaron (Cindy) Cole, Peyton O'Neal and Addison O'Neal; great grandchild, Maggie Cole. Several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 14th at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Ed O'Neal and Rev. Doug Howard officiating. Music will be by the Kenny O'Neal family and Marc and Von Loudermilk. Pallbearers include Tommy Payne, Russ Loudermilk, Marc Loudermilk, Ed Cantrell, Aaron Cole and Roger Shuler. Honorary pallbearers include, Greg Holden, Clyde O'Neal, Peyton O'Neal and Raymond Frady. Interment will follow in the Mt. Liberty Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Memorial Contributions in memory of Mr. O'Neal may be made to the Mt.
