The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Alma Marie Cochran, age 82, of Ducktown, TN, who passed away Thursday, August 14th at the Copper Basin Medical Center following an extended illness. Alma was born in Cherokee County, NC and was a daughter of the late Horace and Dora Hayes Lynn. She was a member of the Turtletown Church of God of Prophesy. She was preceded in death by daughter, Phyllis Hayes, sister, Mary Smith and brother, Harold Lynn.She is survived by two sons, Harold Cochran and Ricky Cochran, both of Farner, TN; three daughters, Rhonda Crowder of Farner, TN, Sabrina Walls of Hiawassee, GA, Melissa Postelle of Mineral Bluff, GA; brother, Howard Lynn of Turtletown, TN; sisters, Elsie Cole of Turtletown, TN, Novella Lynn of Ducktown, TN; seventeen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren, two great - great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 17th , at 2:00 p.m. from the Turtletown Church of God Of Prophesy with Rev. Gerald Mann, Rev. Mike Jarrett and Grandson Thomas Crowder officiating. Music will be by T.J. Crowder. Pallbearers include Andy Crowder, Ryan Crowder, Justin Cochran, Michael Worley, Wesly Cearley, and Chris Crowder. Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
