Charles "Allen" Derrick, age 42, of Copperhill, TN passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Copper Basin Medical Center in Copperhill, TN. He was born on December 28, 1968 in Etowah, TN. Allen was retired as a self employed home construction builder. He was a member of Friendship #3 Baptist Church. Allen was a member of the Brain Injury Association of GA Fannin County Support Group.Survivors include son and grandson, Nathan Robinson of Epworth, GA; four brothers, Billy Derrick of Blairsville, GA, Glen Derrick of Athens, TN, Mike Derrick of Athens, TN and Ricky Patterson of McCaysville, GA; two sisters, Tracie Patterson of McCaysville, GA and Lisa Patterson of McCaysville, GA; one grandchild also survives.Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins Chapel with Rev. Alton Towe officiating. Graveside music was by Courtney Derrick. Interment followed in the Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
