Alisa Kathryn O'Neill, 37, of Marietta, GA passed away May 9th, 2013. Alisa was born on September 17, 1975 in Dalton, GA to Jeffrey and Gail O'Neill. She is survived by parents, Jeff and Gail O'Neill and sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and Frank Schoeniger; grandmother, Clara Chancey. She also has 2 nieces and 2 nephews; Joshua O'Neill, Jordan Merwin, Kayla Merwin and Savannah Merwin whom she loved dearly. Alisa grew up in the Marietta area, graduating from Sprayberry High School in 1994. In 1998, she graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Information Systems. She was a devoted employee to Colgate-Palmolive for many years prior and preceding her graduation. Alisa lived in the metro Atlanta area for most of her life, spending 2 years in Chicago as a result of job relocation. She returned home to Georgia in 2009. She spent time doting over her nieces and nephews and caring for her 2 beloved dogs, Buddy and Ginger. For the past 4 years, she has resided in Roswell, GA. Services were held at the Akins Funeral Home in Blue Ridge, GA Chapel on Tuesday, May 14th at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Roger Beck officiating. Music was by Greg Norton, Pam Trusty and Jeanette Rismiller. Pallbearers were Eric Stanfield, Joshua O'Neill,Johnny Ensley, Shawn Chancey, Nathan Chancey, Beau Chancey, Tim Chancey and Michael Bennett. Honorary pallbearer was Jordan Merwin. The family is asking for donation in lieu of flowers to The N. GA Mtn. Crisis Network Inc. at PO Box 1249 Blue Ridge, GA 30513 in Alisa's memory.
