Mrs. Alice Guinn Callihan Postell, age 83, of Baldwin, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at The Oaks at Scenic View in Baldwin, GA.

Born September 20, 1938, in Blue Ridge, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Ethel Stepp Callihan. She was member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church of Blue Ridge, Georgia and was a homemaker.

Family members include her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Mike Petty of Lavonia, GA; granddaughters and their spouses; Jennifer and Jason Barbour, of England, Heather and Adam Pattillo, of Hartwell, GA, Bethany and Niels Cortez, of Cornelia, GA,; grandson and his spouse, John and Jennifer Petty, of Commerce, GA; great-grandchildren, Bryan Pattillo, Andrew Pattillo, Adelyn Pattillo, Caitlyn Barbour, Ian Barbour, Catherine Barbour, Caroline Barbour, Salem Petty, Elon Petty, Bentley Cortes, and Leah Cortes; brother, Clarence Callihan; and a sister, Tressie Mashburn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John David (J.D.) Postell; two sisters, Estalee Rose and Imogene Montgomery; and a great-grandson, Brenan Petty.

The family will receive friends at Hipps Chapel Church, Blue Ridge, GA, from one o'clock to the service hour on Saturday, September 10, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Hipps Chapel Church with the Reverend Mike Petty and the Reverend Delmar Davenport officiating.

Burial will follow at Hipps Chapel Church Cemetery.

The following will serve as pallbearers; John Petty, Adam Pattillo, Niels Cortes, Andrew Pattillo, and Hank Postell. Bentley Cortes and Elon Petty will serve as honorary pallbearers.
