Alice Croft Cox, age 80, of Farner, TN passed away on January 23, 2026 at her home following an extended illness. She had worked for many years as a Machinist at Springs Mill. She faithfully attended as a member of Community Baptist Church. She was born on September 23, 1945 in Pine Ridge, TN, and was the daughter of the late Glenn Omer Croft and Audrey Womble Croft. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Edward Croft, Lewis Eugene Croft; and her husband, Ken Cox.

She is survived by her children, Curtis (Donna) Melton of Ranlo, NC, Lancy (Isaias) Gaitan of Destin, FL, and Misty Fortune of Farner, TN; grandchildren, Brian (Alyssa) Cox of Columbia, SC, Julie Cox of Farner, TN, Dewayne (Elizabeth) Smith of Ninety Six, SC; great-grandchildren, Audrey Elizabeth Bledsoe and Kelly Ann Bledsoe of Farner, TN; and brothers, Kenneth Ray (Sue) Croft of Ranlo, NC, and Glenn Willis Croft of Bessemer City, NC.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Mitchell Allen officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment was held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Wood Memorial Park in Greer, South Carolina.
