Alex Neumyer, age 36, of Chattanooga, TN, died suddenly March 8, 2020. Alex is survived by his parents, Steve and Kathy Neumyer of Blue Ridge, GA; brother, Kyle Neumyer of Panama City, FL; sister, Jessica Kreunen of Decatur, GA; grandfather, Ralph Kreunen of Gainesville, GA; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Alex was an avid and extremely accomplished golfer, a game he got hooked on after going to his first Masters with his Dad when he was only seven years old. His high school golf coach gave him the nickname of "Noodle" for some of his antics and also described him as being a grinder. If Alex wanted to accomplish something, he would put his head down and just grind on it until he accomplished it. He even made a run at some of the mini tours a few years ago in hopes of making a living by playing golf. After graduating from South Gwinnett High School in 2001, he attended Columbus State where he was a member of the golf team for two years before transferring to Georgia Southern University where he earned his Bachelors Degree in 2007. He spent almost all of his career with Coyote Logistics working in Alpharetta, Chicago, Denver, Chattanooga, Atlanta and recently back to Chattanooga. Alex will always be remembered for his incredible smile, warm personality and fun loving spirit. He was a wonderful son, brother, grandson and a great friend to many! Memorial services to celebrate Alex's Life were held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel in Blue Ridge, GA with Pastor John Byerly and Dr. Chan Mitchell officiating.
