Alex Kennedy, age 35, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away at his home Wednesday August 2, 2023.
He was born in Copperhill, TN on September 01, 1987. He is preceded in death by his brother David Earl Kennedy, and his grandparents, Forrest and Edna Williams, and Joyce Wilson.
He is survived by two sons, Hunter Kennedy and Wyatt Kennedy; his mother, Patti Williams Kennedy; his father, Joe Kennedy; his stepmother, Sue Kennedy; his brother, Joe Kennedy lll and sister-in-law Brytney Kennedy; his nephew, Jacob Kennedy; his niece, Jordan McGinn; his niece, Callie White; nephew, Peyton White; nephew, Jesse Saragusa; his brother, David Hill and sister-in-law Cathy Hill; niece Mary Hill (and Brandon) Edmunds; grand niece, Astrea; nephew, Daniel (and Nicole) Hill; grand nephew, Clayton; uncles and aunts, Steve and Susie Kennedy, Gary and Diana Kennedy, Dolly Mosely, Lori Beasley, Joann Burns, Vance Burns, Tammy and Jim McMichael; his Grandpa, Ray Wilson, as well as, many cousins, and many friends.
Alex is a Christian believer. He was a licensed electrician and worked with a local electrical contracting company.
He loved his sons Hunter and Wyatt. Those boys were the topic of his conversation most of the time to anyone he would talk to. Being a talented athlete himself, he thoroughly enjoyed watching his boys compete in their sports activities and he recognized their talents as well. There is no question he was a Georgia sports fan. He loved his family.
All who know Alex attest to his kind heart, his generosity, and his genuine caring for others. He is greatly missed. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed the outdoors.
Alex was an analytical thinker. From his youth, he was able to dissect things in his mind, and disassemble physical things to be able to understand how they work. He was a hard worker.
Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations will provide for cremation. There will be a private viewing for immediate family only, prior to the cremation on Wednesday August 9.
A memorial service will be held at New Life Community Church, 2985 Old Hwy 5, Blue Ridge, GA, on Thursday August 10, 2023, at 5:00 pm. We will have a gathering for family and friends immediately following the service at the church. All are invited to attend the service and gathering.
