Alece Ann Winters, age 74, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on August 25, 2026, in Marietta, Georgia.

She was born on November 1, 1951, in McCaysville, Georgia, to the late Atley and Dorine Pope Cole. Alece retired from Walmart after more than twenty years of dedicated service.

Alece had a special love for flowers, the beach, lighthouses, and getting away to the mountains, where she very much enjoyed her trips to Dollywood. Above all, she cherished her family and especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Alece is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, David Earl Winters.

She is survived by her daughters, Shelly Morrow (Tony) and Alesha Watkins (Justin); siblings, Zada Matthews (Bill), Cathy Jones (Billy), Danny Cole, and Hilda Parker (Sam); grandchildren, Brandon Esparza (Kayla), Matthew Esparza (Naomi), Brady McCollum, Gracie Watkins, Sophia Watkins, Levi Morrow, and Dalton Morrow; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Pastor Tony Morrow officiating. Music will be provided by John Heard, Kathy Wilbanks, and Lisa Long. Interment will be held privately in the Sunrise Tabernacle Church Cemetery with Brandon Esparza, Matthew Esparza, Brady McCollum, Justin Watkins, Danny Cole, Billy Jones, Gracie Watkins, and Sophia Watkins serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

In keeping with Alece's wishes, the family kindly asks that you please refrain from wearing black to her funeral service.
