Albert Lee Queen Jr., age 83, of Epworth, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 in Gainesville, Georgia.

Born on March 26, 1942, in Epworth, Georgia, Albert was the son of the late Albert Lee Queen Sr. and Ruth Ann Galloway Queen. He was of the Baptist faith.

Albert dedicated many years of service to his community, first working as a repairman with the Tennessee Copper Company, and later serving as an Emergency Medical Technician for Fannin County, Georgia, before his retirement. His commitment to helping others and his steadfast work ethic left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 63 years, Sheila Queen; and sister, Rita Ann Queen.

Albert is survived by his children and their spouses, Sean (Denise) Queen and Pam (Earl) Robinson; grandchildren, Nick (Lauren) Robinson, Amber Robinson, Clay (Autumn) Hughes, and Jessica Hughes; great-grandchildren, Trinity Gillihan, Levi Gillihan, Caleb Robinson, Emma Robinson, Alexander Robinson, Leah Hughes, and Maddie Hughes; siblings, Mike Queen, Gary (Brenda) Queen, Steve (Cherry) Queen, and Scott (Donna) Queen; numerous extended relatives, and dear friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Terry Callihan officiating. Music was provided by Mr. Greg Norton and pianist, Mrs. Jeanette Rismiller. Interment followed in the Copper Ridge Memory Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Patrick Murray, Kris Queen, Keith Queen, Clay Hughes, Rev. Gary Queen, and Earl Robinson. Serving as an honorary pallbearer was Nick Robinson. The family visited with friends at the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Blue Ridge, Georgia on Thursday evening, November 13, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
