Agnes Ruth Allen, age 71 of McCaysville, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 in Copperhill, TN. Born on January 8, 1947 in Copperhill, TN, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Beulah "Bird" Patterson Locke. She was a lifelong member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and especially with her grandchildren. Agnes enjoyed going to church, singing for the Lord and working in her garden.She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Carl Allen of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Tonya Allen of Epworth, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Alex Deal of Copperhill, TN; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert and Lois Locke of Copperhill, TN and Robert and Lorene Locke of McCaysville, GA; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Loretta and Ed Cantrell of Copperhill, TN, Katie and Thomas Payne of McCaysville, GA, Dora Jean Cantrell and Larry Shipey of Copperhill, TN and Nellie and Rev. Larry Weaver of Mineral Bluff, GA; four granddaughters, Alexis Deal, Alisah Deal, Stephanie Allen, Brittany Jordan; and two grandsons, Trevor Jordan and Brandon Jordan. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Ed O'Neal and Rev. Gerald Payne officiating. Music was provided by Kevin O'Neal, Joey and Lori O'Neal. Interment followed in the Patterson Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jesse Deal, Adam Deal, Cory Deal, Jeremy Locke, James Weaver, William Weaver and Jonathan Locke.
