Mrs. Ada Lee Denton, age 83, of Murphy, N.C., died Friday, March 26, 2010, at Vista Care Hospice House in Columbus, Ga. She was born on August 8, 1926 to the late William and Mary Crawford Stepp. She lived most of her life in North Carolina and was a homemaker. She was the wife of the late Davis McHan and the late Randall Denton. She was a Past Matron of the Josephine Chapter #386, Order of the Eastern Star.She is survived by one daughter, Sue Mason of Midland, Ga., two sons, Charles McHan of Murphy, N.C., and Ray McHan of Murphy, N.C., two step-sons Lynn McHan of McCaysville, Ga., and Randy Denton of Blue Ridge, Ga., one sister, Margie Tankersley of Blue Ridge, Ga., several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Funeral service was at Akins of Copperhill Chapel at 4:00 PM Sunday, March 28, 2010, with Rev. Ned Golden officiating. Music was by Ann McHan, Alicia Lewis and Daffney Dockery. Interment was at Copper Ridge Memory Gardens in Blue Ridge, Ga.
