Mr. A.B. Johnson, age 82, of Morganton, GA passed away on December 9, 2009 in the Life Care Center in Ducktown, TN. Born in Fannin County, GA he was the son of the late Edward and Etta Mae Stanley Johnson. He retired after thirty three years as a Pipefitter for the Tennessee Chemical Company. He was of the Baptist Faith and a former Sergeant of the United States Army. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ada Nell Bradburn Johnson; two daughters, Wanda Tipton and Owetea Nicholson; and two brothers, J.P. Carl Johnson and L.D. Glen Johnson. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Kathy Johnson of Morganton, Johnny Johnson of Ellijay, GA, Troy and Vanessa Johnson and Randy Johnson all of Morganton, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and J.L. Tipton and Judy and David Stanley all of Morganton, GA; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday December 12, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge with Rev. Hal Doster and Rev. Tommy Bell officiating. Music was provided by Angie Gilliam. Interment followed in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Justin, Lionel, Chris Johnson, Bo Abercrombie, Timmy Ensley and Harold Parker.
